Controlling air pollution
NOx emissions, or oxides of nitrogen, make up some of the many harmful greenhouse gases produced by the internal combustion engines found in petrol and diesel vehicles. These emissions are one of the leading causes of air pollution, particularly in urban areas, as they contribute to the formation of smog and acid rain, making them a significant health hazard.
